3 years agoAmeriGas people are friendly and polite . They bring the LP in a timely manner when I order by phone. My delivery guy Scott is very polite and friendly always has a positive attitude . I look forward to his delivery .They always talk to me the customer in a very helpful ,concerned manner ,asking me if I have any further questions . My delivery driver is very professional and a fantastic driver , he always makes it in my driveway backing up like a real pro.Thanks AmeriGas ! My wife and I are happy you deliver our LP. Gary Apitz

2 years agoThis company was always good and helpful but they sure have taken a turn for the worse! No longer can get ahold of anyone unless you tell them you want a new service. Placed our order for propane online and they tell us 2 1/2 weeks before they come. Well ran out of fuel and after 1 1/2 hours on the phone waiting on hold for someone to answer no answer. Will be changing company's as soon as possible. Hopefully we can get our credit back.

2 years agoRan out of lp and they said they would be here today for an emergency refill of my tank. No one has showed up after 7 hrs of waiting and I've been stuck in the hold que on the "emergency" line for over 25 min. I will be changing LP gas suppliers asap.

3 months agoAs a new customer one would think that the company would take care of you, however they just let your tank run out even with prior phone calls letting them know the tank is at 10% and they said they would fill it, nope completely empty cold temperatures and now no heat, thanks guys.

2 years agoI worked for Amerigas for 10 years. If you were a customer that didn't pay their bill, they would coddle you and offer special rates and programs to help them. They would have us run out on holidays to fill them up, no charge. But paying customers? They had programs in place to raise their rates. Although they charged more than anyone else, their pay was pretty bad. You wouldn't think that with the amount of work and BS they put you through, but they did. We had to document literally every minute of our work day. The amount of micromanagement was palpable. And both corporate and local would always remind us of how good of a company Amerigas was to work for. HA! Today I make nearly 4 times my salary there, no overtime, not nearly the amount of BS. I'm spoiled, I admit. But I won't work for or buy from Amerigas, because I can say without a doubt every other company is a better value.

4 months agoApparently they no longer fill tanks at this location. Of coarse, you don't find that out until you get the tanks unloaded and you get to the locked office door that has the sign on it. Excellent customer service seems to be their highest priority.

a year agoIf I could mark 0 I would! Just almost got side swiped by this driver. Alerted him that I was there by honking and he continued to proceed, causing me to have to move to the side of the road and when catching up to him he had the nerve to flick me off!! When calling to make a complaint, the first representative discontinued my call after asking for a supervisor. Second representative refused to give me a supervisor after asking over 2 dozen times in a 10 min call and explaining my situation, that I was not a customer but had a complaint about their driver on the road, and again was asked if I had an account. Was she not listening? I was literally on repeat! Called a 3rd time and now allegedly waiting for a supervisor to call. I would NEVER recommend this company! Very poor customer service for such a simple request. No one should ever have to call 3x and beg to speak to management PERIOD!

10 months agoMost local offices are closed if not all. You can talk to a human but it is a call center overseas. Good luck understanding them. They are understaffed so order weeks ahead of time. So it is hit or miss if you will get a delivery on time. Also don't mind the highest price in the industry

2 years agoThis company has got to be the worst on all levels. To start I was getting charged 3 times the rate for propane. Please make sure you do your homework before continuing to purchase propane from this company. Amerigas charged me $100 every year in addition for rental fees on the tank. If you need any help from customer service expect to wait 30 minutes to and hour for anyone to answer. I have called and got hung up on multiple times which I then needed to wait all over again. Please make sure that you have them send confirmation emails back to you. It took them two full months to pick up their tank. I traveled 3 hours and waited all day just to call and find out they never had it on the schedule and the lady I talked to set it up. When they finally picked up their tank I got charged $204 for pickup or $124/per hour. I was told multiple times on the phone that there would be no charges because of their mistake. This company is money hungry and will bend you over any way they can to get it.
