4 years agoThis company is fabulous! We are able to pre-buy in the summer at a great rate, they deliver before we even have to call throughout the winter, and they're friendly every time I call. What more can I say? If you have a choice between one of the big names and this local business, I'd go with them every single time.

2 years agoService is great, they have been delivering to my house for 5 years now and we have never had a situation where we ran out. It's only a 100 gallon, so a small account and they still keep me as a priority.

2 years agoVery rude receptionist was told that they don’t want to waste their time to bring 20 gallons when they have many other customers to take care of I expressed that this is my first time with lp I don’t know how it works how much I need to fill she claims she doesn’t know how to answer the questions just all around rude company that only wants big money and could care less about small business

4 years agoI hate delivering bad reviews, and can't think of the last time (if ever) I've actually written one out. Things started out fairly well with this company. The initial quote was high, but I confirmed with another company that it was "at least in the ballpark". The individual that came out (Steve) was nice, and I was happy to pay extra for good customer service. He completed the initial part of the job (connecting a gas line), but when we went to turn it on we found the pressure was low. There are a few different way to handle (and test for) the cause of low pressure. Instead of completing a simple form (air pressure test) the company was adamant that the entire line be replaced (over a $1,000 worth of extra cost). Like I hope a lot of people do, I reached out for a 2nd opinion (2 in fact). Both of these individuals have over 30 years experience in the gas industry and both work for 2 of the largest companies in WI. Both quickly indicated that while the line may need to be replaced, it seemed more like an overall system pressure, but that there was an extremely simple way to test for this in advance of any hasty decision. This test is done every single time WE Energies or any other energy company would made adjustments to a gas line. Dousman Oil not only refused to do the test, Cindy (operator at the company) was incredibly rude throughout two separate phone calls. I went out of my way to ask her to be nice (patience I'm not known for). This helped for a bit, but when I asked if they'd be willing to do this one final test (before I paid than another $1,000) they refused. I should note that I never did get Steve on the line again. I always only have one response when I receive this type of treatment: "Boy, this company must have so many customer's and must be making money hand over fist if they can afford to treat their customers like this." I'm willing to pay, but don't bite my head off if I ask you to justify why it's going to cost so much more (4 times) that the original estimate!

11 months agoDousman Gas was extremely unreliable. First, they just didn't show up on the day they said they would. Then, when I called, they said that they would tell us the new date. They never did. One of their guys just came out eventually and put in the propane tank unannounced. We showed up to a propane tank right in our front lawn. (They'd also said that they would consult us as to where it should go. Nope. Right in front of the house.) Then, we received a bill for substantially more than we were told we'd pay. When I called about the bill, the receptionist was extremely rude, and I kid you not, even yelled to me through the phone that since we're converting to We Energies gas in the future, why should their company care what we think. Un. Real. I cannot imagine ever trusting a business like that. And as other reviews have clearly stated, they haven't been reliable with their regular customers either. Very sad. It's one thing to have unreliable business practices. But to lack basic human decency... that takes it to a new level.
