My tank was down to 30% and no delivery scheduled. It's going to be single digits and 2 day snow storm. Called, Monica or Morgan was not concerned at all! She said she would call me back, but never did! Called the next day and she said I would have to pay $100 fee! Have been a customer for 25 years and I think next year I will find another company!!! She was unconcerned and rude. Did I mention I an 76 years old and partially disabled? She had no intention of calling me to tell me I could just freeze.

Received my prebuy contract for winter; the nickel dining charges have begun. They now charge tank rent annually which was always free with minimum fill up and a truck charge to deliver the gas. This coupled with their bad customer service over the years and competitors are cheaper per gallon lead me to call and cancel service today. Once again the person answering the phones had an attitude, had an angry counter for all the issues I brought up and didn't even try to retain me as a customer. Glad I'm moving on with another company. It's a shame because the previous owners of this company used to be great

Lakes Gas was formerly Redigas. We had been customers for 30 + years and always paid our bill early and appreciated the discount. We never had an issues and always received prompt and friendly service from Redigas. I wish I could say the same about Lakes Gas Co. Our complaints were avoidable so I'm perplexed why they don't put just a wee bit more effort into their customer relations. Our complaints: accused of not paying bill and then re-billed with interest after we supplied proof of early original payment. Called in for a gas delivery and told we would have to wait up to 5 days; never any inquiry or concern about whether we had heat or concern about how they might accommodate our need. Phones sometimes go unanswered during business hours with no call back after leaving a voicemail. Once we decided to go with another company, we cancelled our gas order and the office person got testy with us instead of asking how they might make it right!? Maybe say something civil like, "So sorry to see you go. We appreciate your loyal business for the last thirty years". So farewell Lakes Gas Co and good luck...because I think you may need it.

Worst company to deal with. Have to pay up front with card, then over charge you, and they won't adjust the payment, they apply a credit to your account. So now there sitting on my money until my next fill, which will be next November. 6 months out. I called to have the credit issued back to me, they won't, must be nice to make interest on my money, and everybody else's. Way to go lake gas, screw the customer!!!!!!

Signed up for auto fill but was put in the system incorrectly which led to us running out of propane on a cold weekend in November. (We have propane heat). We were told it would be fixed in the system but that did not happen so we ran out of heat now in February and the house was 54 degrees in the morning. When I went in after the 2nd time to ask them to make it right, they didn’t even give me $100 off my bill and the manager wouldn’t even talk to me. Unacceptable and will be switching companies in spring. Update - It happened again in spring - but the manager did make it right this time with a grand gesture I appreciated. We may still switch, but more for the new customer promo. now.
