a year agoI was in need of some fresh peel and eat shrimp and they were the only store in the area that had fresh shrimp available at their seafood counter. I gave them a shot to redeem their bad reputation in my mind, and they failed miserably. I bought three pounds of shrimp, and when I got them home to heat them up (literally 20 minutes after purchase) they were slimy and gave off a strong ammonia odor - telltale signs of spoiled seafood. Fresh seafood is not cheap, especially in this economy, and I was very upset and frustrated that the store was not able to maintain fresh edible food for customers to buy. Either an employee is not following guidelines, or food is not being kept at a proper temperature. If I would have consumed the shrimp, I have no doubts I would have been violently ill beyond belief. This was the last strike for me, and I refuse to shop at Pick 'n Save going forward.

2 months agoPick 'n Save has never been the best option for grocery shopping, too expensive! But, the biggest deterrent for me, to shop here was when Kroger took over; prices went through the roof! One thing that has not changed @ this grocery chain –even with new owners–, is the way I've seen how they handle trash. Since I've seen that in more than two stores –Pick 'n Save AND Metro Market–, I believe is a general administration issue. I've seen the store personnel collecting the trash bags from large bins, and placing them inside the shopping carts, where people put their groceries and/or ready to eat food! These stores do not have a shopping cart washer, and wiping the carts –even if it's done w/disinfectants–, does not assure it will get well done. Please, DO address this long term issue, because other than disgusting, it's beyond unsanitary!

5 years agoIf Roundy's/Kroger/Pick n' Save want to know why people don't shop here more often you can look at a handful of things. Firstly the prices are way to high as compared to your competition, secondly it takes forever to get through a checkout lane. Lastly but not least the service is terrible. I had a bagger and they bagged my groceries as shown in the picture. If I hadn't know better I'd have thought it was a joke.

11 months agoWas extremely disappointed with the stores management today. Huge lines at self checkout, about 10 people in the only two lanes available, no baggers, and my poor cashier was helping check out, bag, and the cigarettes area. I asked why no managers were helping since obviously they are short handed? She called the manager and the assistant came out slowly and asked what she need??? She asked to help bag. WHY are the store managers not on the floor helping when they see it’s busy???? Horrible organization skills and customer management skills these managers are portraying. Last time I shop that location.
